The Maule Silk Mill(1) building which was built around 1910 can be seen with its chimney not far from the centre of Case di Malo; today it consists of a mechanical workshop and some dwellings. The production of silk, which was interrupted during the First World War, reached its climax in the thirties when the mill employed about sixty workers, and ceased during the Second World War.
