(Valdagno 1894 - 1972)
He was the son of Vittorio Emanuele, and he brought the company to its highest levels of potential and modernisation. Having overcome the difficult period of the First World War, Gaetano concentrated on the quality of the yarns and fabrics in order to conquer the international markets. Furthermore, he improved the social policy his predecessors had already begun, not only for the benefit of his own employees but also for the townspeople. He enlarged the Margherita Village and between 1927 and 1937 planned the New Valdagno together with the architect Francesco Bonfanti; this was conceived in the modernist sense as the organic and rational completion of the pre-existing Valdagno urban nucleus.
