His father started him off together with his brothers Riccardo, Gaetano and Alessandro in the management of the Caolino Panciera firm; on the 16th of July 1908 he became managing director of the Caolino Panciera company, set up to create a modern industrial structure for the Tretto mines which had previously been divided between various owners. The activity of the company did not prevent him from taking part in the social life of the town of Schio as a member of cultural and charitable associations.
