The Summano Brewery(1), founded in 1873(2) and comprising several buildings, stands on the old road to Velo d'Astico a short distance from the Industrial Village of Piovene Rocchette. Originally the structure was rather poor, later it acquired its present architectonic appearance of a Swiss chalet(3) with a large adjacent(4) grounds.
All the different phases of beer production were carried out in the Brewery until 1958. The cooking hall(5), the underground vats and the master brewers accommodation show evidence of its former activity.
The building has a characteristic large tap room(6), open on two sides with narrow arched portals(7), and unusual windows and dormers on the upper floor.
